Arriving at the village in Mabati, Samburu, our team, was warmly welcomed by Pastor Simon Topia and the community.

He expressed so much gratitude that the visit, together with many others previously, was not only impactful but eye-opening for the community. A community always eager to learn the word of God. To him, the transition from preaching under the trees to actively listening to the Gospel, anywhere and at any time, was instrumental to the growth of his people. These audio Bibles came in their local language and are fascinating, easily allowing the uneducated local people to understand the word of God.

The Samburu way of life is an autonomous culture,  rooted in elders and Morans as custodians of their rich culture. They traverse far places in search of pasture for their livestock. This means they are far from resources and, by that, far from the word of God.

With the audio Bibles at hand, the Gospel stays with the Morans wherever they go, a game-changer in their lives. From holding spears, they now hold onto the word of God simplified in their own language for miles on end.

The Audio Bibles have been revolutionary as the  Morans express more want for the devices to be able to share the Gospel with many others in their community
