In 2025, TheoVision Kenya returned to Mkundi, a rural community in Matuga, Kwale County, building on a relationship that began in 2023 with Bible Listening Group (BLG) training and continued with BLG follow-up in 2024. This year, while conducting BLG activities in Kwale, the team expanded its outreach by organizing a medical camp, responding to the community’s urgent health needs.

The medical camp was conducted in partnership with County Government of Kwale, Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kenya, World Mission Prayer League, Mkundi Dispensary Hospital and Kwale Eye Clinic, bringing much needed services directly to the community.

The camp also highlighted the realities of the local health system. There is only one doctor in the dispensary, and sometimes none, when the doctor is on leave,” one resident explained. “I was treated here, my wife was treated, and my son too,” another shared.

“We would never have gotten this kind of service without traveling very far, which few people can afford. We are grateful for the medicine brought to us.”

Beyond physical healing, the outreach created meaningful opportunities for spiritual engagement. “Once you address people’s health needs, it becomes easier to share the Word of God with them.” Rev. Wellington Kioko (Evangelical Lutheran Church).
