On the third day of our WFA mission in Kinangop, we conducted a medical outreach at AIC Baraka Njoma to give back to the community. 200+ people showed up for this exercise, which turned out to be a blessing to many families in Kinangop.

As part of this program, there were provisions for a general check-up, screening for both breast and cervical cancer, ophthalmology, and lab services. Dr. Francis Mbayi, a practicing medic, and his team showed up with open hearts and ensured that the people were well served. Medication was also available, with each patient getting what was prescribed to them.

A touching event came into our attention later on in the day when an elderly woman walked in. On checking her blood pressure, Dr Mbayi’s face depicted some shock. Her blood pressure was over the roof, and it was just a miracle that she made it to the medical camp. Immediate medication was issued, and she was asked to rest. Luckily, she was stable in due time. The lady was then issued with enough pressure medication to last her a while before her next appointment.

If this is not a testament of God’s work them we might not know what it is. She was not the only life saved, but many who came for this outreach left with so much hope for life. Indeed, God shows up in all ways. Remember to pray with us!

A great blessing from Nyandarua county, who have been very instrumental in partnering with us together with the team of 25 doctors to ensure that this medical outreach was a success.
