Bringing the Gospel to the Meru

In Ndoombo, Tanzania, a quiet, profound joy turned into a vibrant celebration when the believers received the audio Bibles. A clear indication that we did not just deliver audio Bibles but brought hope to the community. The believers, hearing the audio Bible speak their language for the first time, were so elated to receive the word of God in their heart language.

At the Lutheran Church, Ndoombo, we conducted our audio Bible listening group training, during which 25 audio Bibles were entrusted to the Meru people.

I am so happy that God speaks my language, and with these audio Bibles, the Gospel is going to reach more than 250 individuals through Bible Listening Groups that we will form”, said a believer from the church.

We saw them recite our three-step rhythm of discipleshipUmesikia nini? (What have you heard?)Umeelewa nini? (What have you understood?)Utafanya nini? (What will you do?). With such a strong foundation, we believe the Gospel will no longer be a solitary experience but more of a communal reflection.

In Ndoombo, we left a place where “Questions are asked, doubts are settled, and the practical application of God’s Word begins to influence hearts and families.”

The work has just begun as we see that the hunger for the Gospel is palpable. The local leaders and the church remain equipped with clarity in Scripture in their own heart language.

The Gospel is traveling to the furthest parts of Tanzania, carried by the power of the spoken word through the audio Bible. Help us ensure that every voice is reached.
