Our ministry took us to the border of Tanzanian where the Maasai and Chagaa communities meet. The word of God ignited the hearts as they shared the word of together.
                                                                An audio Bible Listening session
Deep into the Maasai community is an unquenchable spiritual hunger. Daily life here is defined by quiet resilience. While the morans and elders are out to watch over the clan, the women work tirelessly to sustain the livelihood of their families and children. Women in this region are mostly involved in subsistence farming, which form a key economic pillar in the region. Yet, amidst this daily labor and survival, when we went to introduce the training on audio Bible listening engagements, community members actively participated and they shared profound lessons drawn straight from Scripture.
In Tarakea village of Loitoktok, which is in the border of Kenya and Tanzania,a rich tapestry of cultures where the traditions of the local Chagaa and Maasai communities meet, we did a training and formed audio Bible listening groups.'My husband stopped drinking',a lady confessed on how the word of God has changed her life and made her husband quit drinking alcohol. 'He came home, drunk, holding the audio Bible and knelt down, crying and that was the end of his drinking'.What a transformation! This strategic crossroads represents more than a border town but a gateway of divine opportunity, whispering of future ministry expansion stretching right into Tanzania.
Pray and support our outreach to the Maasai Community.
The mission in Kajiado among the Maasai and the Chagga has just began. Many more are waiting to hear the good news. Your prayers and support will keep this Bible listening groups growing and new ones being established to flourish.
