In coastal Mtwara, Tanzania, where mosques outnumber churches and Islamic tradition shapes daily life, Ifrah has chosen a courageous path. Raised in a Muslim context, she understands the silent struggles that many transformed believers face.

When the Theovision Kenya team arrived in Tanzania for a Bible Listening Group training, Ifrah fed them generously, offering rice and pork from her own business, making them feel like family rather than visitors. But beyond food, she shared her vision. “Audio Bibles are better,” she said with conviction. “With them, I can share the Word openly without fear.” In a region where reading a Bible can mark someone out, a small proclaimer device becomes a shield and a bridge. For Ifrah, this wasn’t just about convenience; it was about survival and access. She saw the potential to gather women in her community, to press play, and let God’s Word flow into homes bypassing literacy barriers and disarming suspicion.

Her reliability reminded the team that God always plants key people along the way those who may not stand on the stage but without whom ministry would falter. Through Ifra, they witnessed how God uses individuals within communities to open doors, create trust, and make the sharing of His Word possible.

Watching her embrace this mission, the team realized she was not merely a contact or a host but a partner in the Great Commission, a living picture of God’s grace at work in unlikely places.
